Rat diapers
Could I have my female rat wear a rat diaper full-time? I would clean it frequently. The longest I would be away from her is at school, which is like 7 hours.
Answers:First, you need to understand this innate behavior

And yes, there is such a thing as rat diapers

The vast majority of rat-keepers are not concerned with this "problem", and then others have used the diapers. Diapers are used only while the rat is free-ranging (playing outside of it's cage) and then under supervision. A rat will not tolerate having a diaper on for any longer then that. Within 7 hours your rat will have destroyed the diaper if it is left on her.
If she is in her cage while you are away I do not understand why it bothers you that she poops and pees in her cage, after all, it is her territory to do with what she will. Most rats are clean enough to find a corner of the cage and use that corner as their toilet area. Because of this desire for cleanliness a rat can be litter trained.

"my life has gone to the rats"
this question just gave me chills. two of the creepiest things on this earth.
Would you want to sit in your own sh!t for seven hours? Yeah that's what I thought. GET IT A CAGE!
Lets think about this for a second. Would you like your human baby to just sit in a dirty diaper for 7 hours?? No, you wouldnt. Bacteria from poop attacks skin, so both a human baby and a rat would get a rash. What do you think causes diaper rash?
i supose it possible
