Rat in the walls
we have a rat living in our walls, how can we get it out without killing it. We have set up traps but don't know if/how it gets in and out of the walls
Answers:I lived in NYC for over five years and lived with a fair share of pests and rodents. :) The best bet you have is to call an exterminator - they can figure out how they're getting into walls and work on the best way to keep them out. Unfortunately, many of the products on the market for the general public are not ideal for humane trapping. I tried glue traps and bait poisoning - if the little buggers didn't get stuck on it and chew themselves off, then they slowly died because they ate the poison. It was kind of sad...
If you have any areas in your home where the wall doesn't quite meet the floor (i.e. wider cracks), take steel wool and stuff it into the cracks. Rodents can't chew through it.
i think u can get animal specialists or something like that to get rid of it. who cares just kill it, u aint gonna go to jail!
Kill it, its a RAT.
set one them box traps taht electrocutes them. Im assuming you dont want to kill it in case dies in wall and stinks out house - the box will kill it and you have it to dispose of.
If you don't to kill it cus of animal cruelity then i have no idea - sorry.
use humane traps then release it into wild
Bait your traps with chocolate and chip fat , make sure they are placed under furniture , it'll come out .
