I know you love your rat, but please refrain from buying caged animals in the future. All animals should be free, and part of our sadness when our rodent friends die, comes from that we felt we never knew just how happy they were. The one thing that all creatures want, is freedom, and we can't give it to caged animals. It's too dangerous to force freedom on caged rodents, but we can make a stand in the long run by refusing to buy them from pet shops (rehoming rescue animals is fine though). If you love rats, please help them in the long run by not being part of their sadness by caging them.

i have been thru many rats over the past 10 yrs, its never easy to say bye to an animal u love so dearly. but every time a rattie of mine has been sick, i just try to make them comfy, warm, and i have been lucky enough to have each of my rats in my hands, stroking them and talking to them softly with loving words every time they have past. its not easy and sometimes its not fair. my first girl penny, she was 5 when she passed, thats very old for a rat but she had a brilliant life and she was a fighter from the day i got her..
