How silly could you be. All you have to do is to bring it to the vet to trim the nails. Problem Solved !
keeping rats has become pretty popular these days! ive had quite a few rats over the years and love em to bits!
You can take your rat to the vets to have his nails trimmed or you could just cut off the pointed tip-remember dont cut too high as it could make the rats nail bleed. A small pair of nail clippers that we use are fine!
i used to put a bit of sandpaper on the floor of my rats cage and they would use this to keep their claws short.
but if this does not work for your rats either cut their claws or take them to vet
