Rats or mice and why

They have the same lifespand, so which do you prefer and why?
Answers:We have both. Rats are more interactive with people, which makes them more fun. Well-socialized rats love their human friends, and they show it, even preferring attention to food treats when given the choice (although they often manage to get both @ once). I've had friendly mice & recently lost the best, sweetest mouse I've ever known (her name was Depeche Mouse), but our current mice aren't very interactive with ppl-- in fact, 2 of them still act like they think we're going to eat them although we've had them for more than a year (and we're vegetarian).
Mice, definitely. They are a lot cuter than rats and rats smell WAY worse than mice.
Mice are so dainty and so cute like hamsters. Rats are ugly and what grosses me out the most is the thick tail. If it was gone completely I guess I'd be ok with them.
neither this is one of my worst fears i cannot even look at a picture of one
Actually they really don't have the same lifespan. Mice don't tend to live as long as rats. Mice (1-2 years) and rats (4-5 years). Personally I prefer rats! They are easier to handle and easier to interact with.
ever see a mouse kill a cat? "nuff said" :)
mice are cute, yet reproduce like rabbits...not too cool...i guess mice are cool. rats are nasty because of the generalization of like sewer rats and stuff, especially norway rats, they have that thick tail that that one girl was speaking of.
I prefer rats because they're a lot nicer than mice.
Rats.
