Rats+good pets
How much would a whole rat set up generally cost? I mean including all the necessary toys and a large enough cage for two rats.. Also, do rats make good pets? What are your thoughts on them?

Answers:rats make th most excellent pets, they are around when you are, they actually want to play and have social interaction with you, they are intelligent and can be trained and 99.9% have great dispositions just think mini dog and your not far wrong

DO NOT GET A TANK, not even one with a topper, for them nor keep them on sawdust unless you want rats that are ill their whole lives with repeated resp flares, any type of dust or shasvings EXCEPT kiln dried aspen SHAVINGS release phenols which are highly poisonous carefresh, chopped cardboard or shredded paper, auboise hemp 100% paper kityy litter like yesterdays news or at a tight pinch ASPEN shavings no other and def not ANY dust
get a really good cage plenty of room and a couple of storeys
so they can play
a critter 2 cage is a great cage for 2 bucks and costs around the $80
a critter 3 is gret for does[ extra pinging space] and come in around $100
both of these have small enough bar width to stop even 6 week old babies from escaping and give loads of hanging space for hammocks and tubes and plenty of them
of course both will be cheaper somewhere like ebay
