Does anyone know of some good ratteries in Southern California that breed for Berkshire, Essex, or Blaze markings and that also breed for temperament & health? Please list the websites of them if you know of any. Thanks!

I couldn't find Ratteries is California that specifically breed for the particular markings you are looking for, but the Ratster is a directory of reputable breeders and there are many breeders in California.

A breeder's group to which I belong. By joining the forum you can talk to other breeders that live long the West Coast of the US and Canada.

All of these breeders breed for health and temperament first.

Berkshires and Blazes are not too hard to come by, but the Essex might be tougher to find.

The American Fancy Rat and Mouse Association recognizes the Essex so maybe this Association can help you track down a breeder.

i live in northern california, but googled some links for you.

as long as you dont want to show, all of your expressed varieties turn up as mismarks in all litters, Much to the annoyance of those trying to breed true to standard =)
