I would like some information from people who have bred velvet or plush lops. I wish to begin the process of developing a breeding program for this type of rabbit.

I have never bred velveteen or plush lops but I did breed mini rex for 5 years which are considered the starting breed for both. I know someone who does breed velveteen lops on RH and Mini Plushes.. You can find RH at http://s13.invisionfree.com/rabbithabbit... which is a forum for breeding rabbits. But anyways the best idea is to find a reliable breeder and purchase a breeding pair. Let her help pick them out and find the best stock for you. You will most likely be spending $100-200 on each rabbit because they are both rare breeds. Good luck in your search!
