Run away hamster
My brother's hamster ran away and for two weeks we thought it was dead.. and 2 days ago I had a party and we left out animal crackers.. i went to my basement to get them and i saw it but i was soo freaked out i didnt get it.. and i saw it go into a hole in the wall. and it obviously had to EAT something down there so im afriad its gonna bite all the cables and stuff we keep down there. plus its nocturnal and everyonesn afriad to go down there at night to try to catch it.. and if i dont get it out of there i think i might have to get an exterminater and i really dont wanna do that.. HELP!
Answers:If your hamster decides to have a little more freedom, stay calm and follow these simple suggestions. Hopefully, and with a little patience, your hamster will turn up, as happy and healthy as ever. Stay on the look out!
Check all over your house, especially warm places like where the pipes are under the floor, or behind furniture.
Leave a small pile of his favourite food in each room before you go to bed, and close all the doors. Your hamster is likely to be in the room where the pile of food has been eaten.
YUM!Get a bucket or box. Put a towel or shavings onthe bottom to cushion your hamster when it falls in. Put some tasty treats inside the bucket or box. If possible, pick treats that have a strong smell to lure your hamster out.
Pile a few books to act as steps into the bucket.
Wait, and hopefully your hamster will climb in the bucket and won't be able to get out again. Just be patient!
