Sad- my hamster passedcontd2007-11-24 22:14:56

Sorry, but I ran out of space before I can ask my question.and that is has anyone ever had their hamster's eye prolapse? It came all of a sudden. I know that hamsters are prone to eye problems, but never thought this bad. She was my baby and believe it or not, I would have paid any amount of money to the vet to save her...no limit on my part at all. She did have some other problems prior to this and that was an ear infection and also her front paw was inflammed (mussels) and she was on med's at the time. I loved her so much that I no matter what, if she was ill, always went to the vet.

that is very sad i am so very sorry! In time you will get over it but you probably will still miss her when you think about your hamster! it is very hard for me to get over a pet dieing! It breaks my heart to hear that your hamster died!

When I was a kid, I had the panda hamster. Hers did it, but I didn't catch it since it happened when I was asleep. She died sometime in the night.

Don't take it so hard I have a hamster too but I don't know what I would do if anything ever happened to her you tryed so much to help it was just her time so it's ok it happens to people and animals so it's ok.

sorry to hear about your hamster, how old was it? Mine died at 7 mon ths from wet tail, a quick killer. We got another one three days later and she is sweet too. Maybe you can do the same.
