pick it up by placing your hand around its tummy and then supporting his/her back. place them close to you and make them feel safe! :)

Every German knows, if you want to catch a rabbit, you must put salt on its tail.

I just got a rabbit Monday :) i use both hands to pick it up
pick it up by the scruff(loose skin at the nape of the neck) while with the other hand gently support it`s bum.
ok thats a funny question but i can help.U should let the rabbitt know you dont want to hurt it.Then gentely pick it up by the stomach i hope that helps lol! i had one but it died =(
put one of your hands under its bum also holding the back legs put the other one under its chest or holding it in one of your arms (like holding a baby only not on its back) its head facing your elbow.
I know many swear by picking animals up by the scruff of their necks, but i would not recommend it. particularly, with a rabbit you dont know that well. many rabbits are large and heavy and picking them up in this way could be painful, causing them to squirm, kick, possibly even lose trust and bite. I had a few rabbits and always picked them up calmly and slowly by placing one hand underneath the belly and one hand cupping their rear. rabbits will become subdued if you cradle them in your arms, on their backs like a baby. :) just remember to always support their bottoms, whenever picking them up.
pick it up by the scruff of the neck (loose skin by the shoulder blades) then place your hand under the back feet. this will give the bunny some support so it wont freak out and will let you have control of the hind feet which could cause some pretty severe scratches
You should pick it up with one hand under his stomach and one hand on his backside, so he feels secure. If they feel like theyre going to fall they'll start kicking, and might hurt themselves. I think picking up animals by the scruff is mean. Mother animals do it to their babies to carry them around, but thats when theyre babies...and small, not when they're adults and their weight would be hanging down. If you try to do this to an adult rabbit chances are its going to kick and freak out.

Every time I go to put my rabbits back, they kick too. I've discovered that putting one hand gently over their eyes to block their view while im putting them back, minimizes that. That cant see where theyre going so they dont have that sense of falling, therefore they stay calm.

Wrap the rabbit in a large towel then cradel it like a baby.
