Should I get dwarf hamsters, mice, or gerbils Why
Get a rat. They are much smarter and more affectionate. I think they just overall make better pets. And they live longer.
it kinda depends what you prefer, they are pretty much alike size wise and maintenance wise.
mice start to smell badly if they are male and are not cleaned often. hamsters are cute but usually nocternal,so not much play time during the day. gerbils look like little rats but are cute in their own little way.
just watch out for getting females that they are not pregnant or you will have a whole clan of whatever.
all of them are trainable and can be tamed it is just very important to constantly hold them and pet them to get them used to your hands. i had a pet mouse and took her everywhere she would either sit on my shoulder or in a pocket if i didn't want anybody seeing her.
Mice. They are a whole lot less costly than a gerbil or hamster. Gerbils make HUGE messes with their bedding. Hamsters are cute, but you can only have one to a cage.
So i think mice are best.
:]
i think u should get a rat much nicer and very affectionet
if not a rat a gerbil b/c hamsters seem to bite alot and mice stink
dwarf hamsters are awesome! i have 2 and i love them! it is because they are smaller and easier to handle. mice escape too much and need lots of attention.
Hiya. Well, I currently have 2 gerbils, 3 Roborovski dwarf hamsters, 2 Chinese Dwarf hamsters and 1 Russian dwarf hamster, 2 mice, and 1 Syrian hamster.
