Should I make a C&C cage2007-11-24 22:15:03

I haven't decided if I'm willing to make one. I know where to get all the stuff but don't know if i should invest in the money and I don't know where I would keep it. I'm used to smaller cages that fit in my room. Does anyone have any possitive feedback about these cages? P.S i have 2 guinea pigs. One lazy old one and one hyper young one.

DEFINITELY make one. It isn't that expensive. You can find the storage cubes at most walmart or fred meyers stores. I got a set of them for $20. The coroplast may be harder to find, depending on where you live, but if there is a sign shop or someone who makes signs in your area, you can bet that they either have coroplast or they can tell you where to get it. The sign maker in my town cave me 8 square feet of coroplast for $9. (Coroplast is a kind of corrugated plastic that they use to make signs from).

I recently made a C&C cage for my guinea pigs, and both had never been in large cages, ever. As soon as I put them in the cage, they started running laps and wheeking and popcorning all over the place. Since I got the C&C cage, they have actually become tamer and more energetic.

Yes, definitely do this for your piggies!

They are wonderful cages..easy to clean, provide proper ventilation, adequate space, etc. I have five of them for my 12 piggies.

It seems you are concerned about space, but the great thing about C&C cages is that they can be configured many different ways to accommodate your space issues. Not only that, but you can always add a second level----so you're moving UP instead of out.

Cost wise, they are not as expensive as pet store cages & provide loads of room for your piggies' good health.

Definetly make one! The happiness of the pigs when they get into a spacious cage more than makes up for any space limitations it might cause me.
