We have a male hamster, not sure the breed or age. About 2 months ago, we realized that his testicals were very swollen. Today, I was putting him in his cage and realized that they were very swollen and rounded and looked as if they were a balloon filled with blood and green pus. I can't find any information on it. Any help or ideas would be great. We don't have the money to take him to the vet. Thanks !

It could be a constipation issue, intussusception, or rectal prolapse. Maybe endoparasites or tumors. The site below has descriptions on all of the following.

I hope he gets well soon!

gross, i know they have big ones, but the pus part i don't know, did you try ice?
is there any signs that he may have cut himself or maybe the poor guy got a splinter in there and it is infected. blood and puss usually signals an infection. try soaking him in some hot water maybe. you might need to take him in for antibiotics. is he acting normal like eatiang drinking sleeping and pooping otherwise?
bring it to a vet today admittedly it is a desise from breeding it is not rare but it might die from it
Sounds like a serious problem. You really do need to get the little guy to a vet. If you can't afford one, call first and find out about pricing and explain the financial situation. Ask if they will accept a payment plan or know of another vet that would be more affordable or perhaps willing to operate on a sliding scale.
