My Guinea pig diego will be walking around his cage cautiously then all of a sudden he will like spaz out and jump randomly really fast . is this normal. i have had him for about 5 days. he is eating and drinking normally soo yeah...

This is what is affectionately known as "popcorning". Guinea pigs will jump into the air with all four feet off the floor. At the height of the jump they shake their head". He looks like a bucking bronco, right?

I know you'll be relieved to hear that this means he is VERY happy. Obviously, you're doing something right to have such a happy pig!

haha yeah mine does this.. if he jumps in the air.. hes popcorning[its healthy and means hes a happy lil pig] ;] mine does it its quite funny to watch

He's apart of the rodent family. And from personal knowledge of owning rodent-like pets, they all do that. So It's pretty normal

Yes it is normal. Hamsters and Gerbils are explorers. So they will jump high to get out of thier cage, scratch thier cage, and bite at things.

It is completely normal because it is just curiosity.

It will help your Hamster make less racket while you sleep to put them in a running ball, and let it run around the house before you sleep so you will be in peace in quiet! Because that wears it out, so it goes to sleep, too!

He might just be normal becuase of the way guinea pigs are is usuall cautious and get scared very easily. you might want ot read some books or even talk to someone that knoe's alot about gunea pigs at a pet store or even a vet.Don't worry it is most likely normal.

yea. I think it is ok cuz my guinea pig was also like that and according 2 my opinion guinea pigs really run fast(but to be sure get the vet)
