Answers:You don't need to brush there teeth and you shouldn't! I would clean your hamsters cage more often and if that doesn;t work get some chinchilla sand and put it in the cage for about 10 minutes!
he might be eating his poop
you can give them bathes in the sink. adn rinse off thier teeth with a cloth or q-tip.
It is okay to use baby wipes on small animals like hamsters. As for brushing their teeth, you can buy them dental treats that will clean their teeth and freshen their breath. Should be able to find them at most pet stores or online.
I have had lots of hamsters...and I never had one that stunk...unless its cage was really dirty. Hamsters are usually really clean animals and clean themselves all the time. Keep his cage clean, use pine or aspen shavings in there...give him fresh water and food. I don't recommend you wash your hamster...they are very little and if they get cold and wet could get pneumonia very easily. And I will tell you right now that it really really hurts to get bit by one so best to avoid that at all costs.
have you tried to talk to a vet or trie to see what happens
do one
Go to a pet store and you can get a special hamster shampoo and it has directions on the back. As for teeth you can get some breath freshener Milkbones dog treats. They are safe for hamsters and a great for waring down teeth.
First, make sure the cage is clean. If not, try changing it first. Don't give the hamster a bath. It removes their natural oils, thus making them more vulnerable to getting sick. You can wash guinea pigs, but not hamsters. Remember, hamsters are NOT smaller versions of guinea pigs. Hamsters are supposed to smell clean, so if a clean cage doesn't help, take the hamster to the vet if he doesn't keep himself clean. As for the breath, you can get special treats that will freshen their breath.
clean his cage out more often
you can give them a bath but its normal mine stinks but i dont worry bout it any more but if you bathe him he will get cold and scared sometimes it looks like it s eyes r big but its judt bcuz the fur is wet and i dont really think you should/or can brush their teeth.hope this helped
no, you can't let the hammy bath in water or brush their teeth, go to the pet store to buy some hammy bath sand and let them roll on the sand (to bathe), or else you can seek other advise from the pet store staff.
