Strange guinnea pig fur
Hey. umm 4 weeks ago my guinea pig gave birth to a really nice bunch of piglets.
but one of them is very strange because i dont know what type of coat it is...
it has brown and black fur that is like the copper side of a washing sponge at the back of it and the long hair towards its neck
so it kinda looks like a chicken, but its still heaps cute.
just wondering if any of you would know?
because its mother and father were both short haired.
(but all of there babies have been really long haired)
Answers:Could it be a bit like an abbysian? There hair is sort of crazy, with out the breeds of the parents it is hard to tell, and even then it would be hard to tell. See, the parents could hold a long haired gene or something which has come out in this 1 bub. I can give you a link which has different breeds:

If you can not match your guinea pig to one on either of these sites than it is probably a hidden gene in either the mother or the father that has come out in this baby.
