Taking care of baby mice
my mouse was preggers when i bought her and i didnt know . the mom's still here any one know how to take care of them
Answers:Make sure mama mouse gets lots of nutritious food & don't disturb her any more than you need to. Let her have extra bedding material for her nest.
When the babies open their eyes (about weeks old), you can start handling them gently so they'll be socialized & friendly. When the kids are weaned (about 4 weeks) put the boys in a separate cage so you don't have a population explosion. The girls can stay with mom if there's room.
Watching the babies grow & develop can be a beautiful experience. A couple years ago, we adopted a rat who surprised us with 5 pups. We ended up keeping everybody. It was a huge surprise, but it worked out ok. I've also had mouse babies in the past.
If the male is in with the female, make sure to take him out, if not, then they should be fine by themselves. Pretty much leave them alone, it is not uncommon for a few to die, so if some die, do not be concerned, it is natural. They get really cute around 2 weeks ;)
the mom will take care of them you don't have to do any thing also do not touch them or the mother will reject them and get the male out if you havn't already
just let the mom do her thing. dont let any males up in there
