Does anyone have a teddy bear hamster? Are they nice? Do you have good or bad things to say about them?

Answers:

I do indeed have a syrian hamster (teddybear is just a nick name for this breed)

He is now 15 months old, and is called Harry, and if you are thinking of getting one I would say go for it.

I cant think of a single bad thing to say about him as a pet. I absoulutly adore him. Syrian hamsters are well known for their sweet, laid back, calm nature, and this is exactly how Harry is.

He has never bitten, adores coming out for a run around in his exercise ball, and sometimes sits next to me or my husband on the sofa and falls to sleep. He is very greedy, responds to my voice and his name being said, but is scared of thunder storms LOL!!

Syrian hamsters have more of an individual personality to them than the smaller, nipper breeds because they interact with humans so well, I promise you will love every minute of owning one. He does sleep all day and most of the night because he is VERY lazy, but he is a happy healthy hamster. Go for it.

they r very cute and very soft and very nice just make sure ur nice to them back
i used to have a teddy bear hampste i got oit for my 10th birthday and my mom told me wwhen i was asking quertions she said that theyone of the nicest breeds. If you choose to get one i reccomend getting a female because the males aren't so nice also if you wake them up to play with them they WILL bite you so it is best to play with them in the evening because they sleep all day and are up at night the sales person said
