The new hamster I brought in just 3 days ago died Help me, its 3 am here and I am so shocked

Please people, I'm so urgently in need of immediate respones as in right now... I've been very worried of this new hamster of mine especially today because I've observed it since I took it home last Sunday and it seemed so sad as well as quite hostile against me... It would give me a hard time just 2 let me hold him, and also, I noticed he didn't really eat that well, even drink! He did eat and drink but that was just like few times and I often encourage him to do so and also come out of the tube where he resides in the majority of the day! Now I'm in A TOTAL STATE OF SHOCK AND CONFUSION because I just found him dead and already a bit hard from the tube where he resides! ='(((

The main reason why I brought in this hamster was because my dearly beloved IGIE, my hamster of 7 months, just died in a very unfortunate and untimely death last Sunday afternoon here! ='( I worried that Isabelo, Igie's brother and companion since birth, would feel very sad being just by himself in the cage

You e-mailed me personally and asked for my help in trying to solve the mystery of why the hamsters are dieing. My fear is that because I specialize in the health and care of pet rats, I don't know how helpful I'm going to be with hamsters.

I do know of one disease that is *very* common in rodents. So common in fact that many unsuspecting pet owners bring an animal home from the pet store and it, and the rodents that it has been living with at the pet store, are already sick with the disease. Because the hamsters died suddenly, with no known symptoms, I think this is what may have happened in your case.
