What can I line a wooden rabbit hutch with2007-11-24 22:16:43

I'm thinking oif getting rabbits and was planning to get a metal one but I was told it could heat up in Summer which is really hot here in Australia so I was advised to get a wooden one but appently rabbits can chew any ledges that stick out. I read in a book that any ledges sticking out should be lined for insulation and to stop the gnawing but it didn't say what to line it with. What would I line it with and how would I go about it?

i am a rabbit breeder and i coated the outside of my wooden rabbit hutch with something 2 protect it from weather but it is harmful 2 the rabbits so i didnt put it on the inside. its ok if teh rabbit chews on the wood as long as its not treated with anything harmful

well when it gets really hot make sue that they are in the shade but are also ble acess clean water and grass if it gets too hot water them down just keep them cool. i dont no the answer to your question but i hope this helps you ..
