My rabbit has a couple of itchy sores on her scruff. We took her to the vet and he said it was unlikely to be parasites and not too worry as they were healing ok. But now she has a couple more. Is there something i can put on them to alleviate any itchyness or soreness and help them heal?
Any ideas to what they might be? there is only a couple of them in one area, they are about the size of a flea bite on a dog.
Answers:Olive oil is best, or canola, or even vegetable oil- Liquid only, not crisco or shortening, or even butter.
NOT the kind in the spray can, and NOTHING with any flavorings.
Olive oil also works for humans on dry skin and itchy dry scalp. It won't harm your rabbit even if she licks at it.
Sperm will actually help the itchyness and also works on humans too.

Chamomile lotion is soothing, but check it is ok 4 your rabbit.
you need to take her to another vet or back to the one you went to and show him that move have shown upand somethings not right becuz its not normal for a rabbit to get sores like that you need to take her and or to another vet
