What can i use for bedding like inside my hamsters hut like fluff from the pet store or something2007-11-24 22:16:04Answers:

Dont use fluff, hamsters have gotten abdominal blockages and dies because of that stupid stuff. Just put their regular bedding in there and the hamster will make a nest to sleep in.

you can use Carefresh (from PetSmart/PetCo) you can also use corncob, aspen bedding. put newspaper on the bottom, that helps reduce the smell.

Your local pet store sells hamster nesting stuff. You can buy some of this and put some in your hamster's cage. I do the samething for my two female dwarf hamsters!

I used newspaper, toilet paper, paper towls ,and tissue paper.

Just be aware that the ink on the newspaper rubs off.I had never tried fluff if I did I would of say something about it.I used to used to have 4 dwarf hamsters but one died his name is Sweetheart .

For my hamsters i use harvest hay for there nests because its nice and warm. Or you could get natural vegetable fibre which is like cotton wool,soft paper bedding or flattened barley straw. Make sure you use and pick the special type of hamster bedding that is now widely sold.These will be safe for your pet since they should not cause any intestinal obstruction if swallowed.

You canuse fluff but it absorbs their u know what so i prefer using wood chips.
