What can moths do to hamsters
my friend is away and she gave me her hamster to take care of. but, some how there are like moths in itz case. will they harm him? cause he [the hamster] made himself a bed.
Answers:Moths are pretty much harmless for him, he will probably eat them. If there is material in the cage thats probably why they are in there (such as carefresh as bedding) if you are using carefresh and you want the moths to be gone sooner you can buy a small bag of aspen shavings and change the shavings in the cage. Other than that, they should be relativly harmless.
they probably won't harm him, but I would try to get them out.
Hamsters can eat moths...
he'll probably try to eat them
They won't touch him. If anything, he'd eat the moths!
I caught my hamster chewing up a dead moth once, and had to grab it before he could stuff the whole thing in his mouth, he seemed to really be enjoying it.
they shouldnt
but from wat others said,
i guess they eat moths
if they are coming from the food, they are meal moths and they are completely harmless. hamster and a lot of bird foods get them. even if the bags are completely sealed. if they are coming up out of dirty bedding, clean the cage.
Moths are harmless. He/she will probably just kill / eat the moths if they bother him/her.
And I don't exactly understand how "cause he [the hamster] made himself a bed. " relates to the rest of the question, but I understand what you're asking.
just clean the cage out and they'll be gone.
