Can a rat eat raw meat? Chicken, beef, fish?

Answers:

Congratualtions on getting a pet rat. They are excellent pets -- clean, fun, interesting.

It recommends lab blocks, which our rat loves, and tells you what treats they enjoy. Treats are good for using in order to treach your rat little games and tricks.

Rats don't tend to be carnivorous and meat is not good for them.

Go to the pet store and buy rat food, or alternatively try low-sugar wholegrain cereals. I had a rat that loved cooked granola, rice (white or brown), and uncooked oatmeal. Also, try banana, apples, carrot, cheese (in moderation), and corn. Most fruits and veg are fair game- rats love raw fruit and veg.

Rats aren't fussy. Give your rat plenty of healthy variety and he/she will love u for it.

Just to be safe, I don't think you should give it any meat. It might make it sick. At Petco, get rat and mouse formula. It will make your rat healthy and strong. That is what my mice eat. Also, give it some fruit and vegetables about once a week. Your rat will love it! Have fun with your rat!
