Help! What do gerbil's eat?

Answers:

I feed mine a good quality gerbil mix (Gerry Gerbil!) and supplement it with small pieces of fresh fruit or vegetables a couple of times a week (or so) - don't over do it as too much fresh food can cause stomach upsets. Don't forget to remove any fresh food that they haven't eaten the next day so it doesn't go off.

You can feed them pumpkin and sunflower seeds as a treat (they love them but a few a day is all they should have as they are very fatty and could cause your gerbils to become obese) they also adore dried fruit i.e raisins and try giving them sprays of millet (sold for budgies).

Gerbils eat gerbil food. You can also give your gerbil small amounts of raw veggies, seeds, popcorn, fresh grass from outside, etc. They are vegetarians, so will eat almost any fruit or vegetable!
