What do chinchillas like to eat
Usually chinchillas enjoy eating a staple food specially made for them, such as living world chinchilla diet. They should also be provided with two different types of hay (more of one depending what the main base of the food is) and those are timmothy hay, and alfalfa. Try to avoid feeding too many nuts and seeds because they are high in fat.
other safe foods are :
Raisins- Chins love them, and they are good to use during training
Chinchilla/Small animal treats-various crunchy snacks mostly made with a vegetable base
Cereal like Kix or Cheerios; something plain but crunchy
They're hebrivores, and domesticly, they eat hay, pellets, and lots of different herbes, and seeds! Like barley, and dried oats. They like fruits, especially apple, but should be given as a treat, and only a very small thumbnail size. They also love vegetables, such as carrots! Also, seeds like almonds, and flax seeds.
they like timothy hay
and pellets but if you want a food with small treats charlie chinchilla is good but most chins just eat the treats of out the food
chinchillas love and need hay (timothy or alphalfa) and fresh water each day. you can also give them pellets and seeds, but they're not necessary.
you can give chinchillas rasins and other small pieces of fruits as treats, but too much will give them digestive problems. usually 1-2 rasins each day is plenty and keeps your chin happy.
