What do i do with my hampster when it dies2007-11-24 22:16:13

odd thing to ask but by daughters hampster is on its last legs and when she dead i dont want to bin her like ive been told so what do i do cant really bury in garden as too many cats round here.

no one bins their pets if they ever cared about them ,your pets are part of your family,buy a wooden box,and line it with a sponge or shredded paper put the lid on and bury it.

I would wrap it up in a little cloth, put it in a shoe box or similar and then bury it, i doubt the cats will dig it up

put it in a shoe box and burry it somewhere away from your children so they cant dig it back up

cats aren't a problem. bury it in a shoe box a good 4 feet or so underground. I have a buried hamster and guinea pig out my back door and have 2 burmese cats. It really shouldn't be a problem. Burying it is the best idea. Maybe put a rock on top of the area of burial and mark a little cross on it like we did.

Im sure they have proper places for animals where you can get them cremated...Then you could have a little Funeral & Bury the ashes x

there are pet funerals that you can have that are arranged through your local animal hospital.I would think that you could take your hampster there in an ambulance.since it is so sick.then have them perform surgery if needed, but then have a proper funeral..the cost should only be $3-500 so I am sure that it is quite reasonable for most responsible animal guardians.God Bless
