What do the hamsters eat
Hamsters eat a commertial diet of nuts, seeds and cereal which all pet stores sell. This should be changed on a daily basis.
Small portions of fresh fruit and vegetables will be welcomed from your hamster. They enjoy carrots, brocolli, cucumber bananas, grapes. The list is endless. But never feed a hamster tomatoes, citrus fruit or human junk food like crisps and chocolate. This is poisonous and can kill them.
A little protien is good for hamsters as they eat insects in the wild. A little boiled ham or chicken is fine. Sugar free cereal, wholemeal bread, cooked eggs, and uncooked pasta is also fine for your hamster to eat.
To keep your hamsters teeth chizzled down, hang a hamster cereal chew bar in its cage or a dog biscuit! Sounds strange, but dog biscuites are very popular with hamsters.
I also treat my hamster to monkey nuts or brazil nuts. He loves cracking open the shell to get to the nuts. Also pet stores sell yogurt drops for hamsters which they adore!! Limit to a few a day to stop obesity.

They eat a special mixture of corn, sunflower seeds, grass pellets, among other things that you can get from just about any pet food store. They also love occasional treats like leafy greens or fruit such as bananas, apples, berries, ect. But NEVER give a hamster citrus and NEVER give them spicy foods. Citrus can make them ill and spicy foods can give them ulcers.

They eat hamster mix from the pet shop they also eat some friut and vegtables! They love carrotes and sunflower seeds! My hamsters also loves apples just make sure that the hamster doesn't get to much of the fruits and vegtables or the hamster can get sick! And maksure the fruits and vegatables are cut up small! And hamsters shouldn't eat the skin of apples! Hope this helped!
Hamsters are omnivores which means they eat both meat & fruit & vegetables!
The basis of every good hamster's diet is a good mixed food made especially for hamsters!
The hamster should also be fed a small portion of fruit & vegetables everyday which should be fresh & any old fresh food must be removed from the cage to stop the hamster becoming ill!
Hamster's also like a small bit of milk or unsweetened & unflavored yogurt which is a good source of calcium!
Anyway the hamster's diet should be varied & nutritious to let it live a long & healthy life!
