Get a mouse trap. Get one of those cage ones if you don't want to kill it but don't use poison or you'll have a real hard time finding it.

Haha. You travel to Home Depot, or any other hardware store, then you buy few mouse traps (depending on the size of mouse/rat). Make sure that your place you mouse traps right next to your walls inside your home. Because mouses can't see really good and they are known to run agains walls to find their way around.

Stop leaving food out, it just attracts them. I know, bananas are supposed to be out, so put them in a sealable container such as Tupperware.

Next, if you have a cat, let it have full access to the area the rodents are. Also, put mouse/rat traps near the areas it goes, i.e., where you keep the bananas. Bait the traps with bananas, since you know it likes them! If you don't want to kill it, there are humane traps out there, but I'm not sure how well they work.

it depends on whether you want to kill him or remove him. you can find humane traps at many stores, but remember two things-first you must release the live captured rodent far from the house (probably more than a mile away) and second you have to check the trap regularly. if you go the trap route, well thats obvious-and peanut butter is great bait. finally, there's poison, just remember, after they eat the poison and die, they could crawl in a wall, and well, sort of stink for a while. i live in a 150 year old house with wide wall spaces, so i know. good luck!

First I would set out glue traps. I would set out so many that a fly couldn't find a crack to crap through. Then when I finally catch the little rodent. I would shove a garlic & cheese crouton up his but and serve him to the neighbors cat for Thanksgiving dinner.
