What do you do when you want a guinea pig
my mom keeps saying no and its really annoying me . I have enough money to pay for it all . But she doesnt have a real reason why I cant have one .
Answers:It could be that she doesn't think you are responsible. Research some stuff, and print it out for her. Then, she'll know you are serious.You will also want to adopt. Search on www.petfinder.com to see guinea pigs you can adopt. buying a guinea pig is bad because there is a huge over-population of guinea pigs, and pet store pigs are usually sick. I've seen sick guineas myself, and have heard stories from all over the world. They were in the US, too.

They are cute I know. But they are nocturnal creatures and will definitely keep you awake allllllll night! During the night they squeak (loudly), kick, scratch the walls of their cage, kick all the bedding and poopies out onto the floor. Their cuteness wears off really quick after a week of little or no sleep. They are okay if they are in an outside hutch, but if you live in a climate that gets cold in the fall and winter, the outside hutch won't keep them warm enough.

ask her what her reason is and what her experiences are with rodents. find out why she is saying no. are u really sure u have the money? the start up costs are 150-200 (including c&c cage, food bowl water bottle etc.) and 25-30 a month (food bedding hay fruits and veggies). try writing a report and making a poster. show her the reaserch u have done (verry important). good luck. im in the same boat my dad wont let me have a guinea pig but did what i told u to do and he's leaning twords a yes.
