What do you do with your guinea pig while you go on vacation2007-11-24 22:16:44

Alternately, you can look in your local paper for people who do pet sitting if you don't have a family member nearby. Do you know any neighbors close to you with children that may be willing to do this?

We have so many at our house that taking them to a sitter is not an option & boarding would be very expensive. We have a friend come LIVE in our house while we're gone.

Best wishes!

i usually leave it with a friend
let ur friend take care of him
When I go on vacation, I leave my guinea pig, PigPig, with one of my good friends. One of my friends has been watching her for years now, and PigPig is comfortable with her. When I come back from my vacation, I always bring my friend a nice gift, from the place that I was visiting.
ask one of your friends to take care of him

my friends ask me to do that all the time

Well I have 11 guinea pigs so this always comes as a problem to us. Most the time my nan comes round and feeds them all. Do you have a reliable relative? Otherwise you might need to pay someone to board them (costs about 拢2 a day in most places). Any friends you can rely on? You definitely wouldn't be able to LEAVE them without someone feeding and watering them.

I would pay for someone to come in if you don't have any relatives or friends you can give it to.

By the way - you do realise a guinea pig needs to live with other guinea pigs, don't you!?
