What is happening to my rabbit2007-11-24 22:17:33

she is a house rabbit and she is smelling and so is everything she touches or that touches her and she has never smelt like this before and it is really scaring me. she is pretty healthy and i dont no what to do.

most of the time she just lies down.

Answers:

Take her to the vet. They may have to evaluate what she's eating. Is she getting enough water to drink?

I took my rabbit to the veterinarian twice and if I waited, they said that she would've died. Rabbits are more fragile that you might think.

is she fixed? if not then i suggest that you should fix her. that should stop the smells. if she is then take her to a vet because it might have something to do with her stomach... good luck!

take her to the vet.most rabbits do this when they are really sick.hopefully she will make it once you take her to the vet!!=(

The best thing to do is to call the vet and ask someone there. I have called the vet twice and both times the nurse gave me great advise. It may be best to call during a quiet time like in the morning on weekdays.
