What is the best cage for ONE dwarf hamster

I'd agree with the bunk thing. They're a pain to try and keep clean..

Crittertrail cages are a good choice for dwarfs though.

I'd say it's bigger, and the extra level at one end is nice. Also you can hang treats from the wire, if you tie some string or something to it. Or there are other cages similar style to the 2nd, made by other makes, not sure on costs. Glass tanks make for reasonable cleaning, never used one, so can't comment.

The last if what I'd personally go for. It doesn't say bar spacing (shouldn't be more than maybe 5mm, 7mm at a push for most dwarfs) but someone said ina review that they had dwarfs in it, and the size is nice. In my experience they're must harder for hamsters to escape from than all plastic ones, even if they chew the top of plastic, escaping is hard. I've never known a hamster UNable to escape from plastic ones.. plus the wire stops smells getting trapped. And my favourite point, is that if the wheel breaks, it's more standard to replace than in like of the crittertrail cage. You can hang treats form the wire, and any water bottle will fit. You can also use side hanging bowls for food/water, if your hammie learns how to tip them. That is why I love wire cages.
