I noticed this morning a super fine webbing on the wire cage of my hamsters & it had teeny white specs ? I scrubbed the cage real good & cleaned every inch of it & didn't find anything else.
Answers:It sounds like tiny baby spiders to me. Well done for the quick clean up.
Was it a paint flaw? Not sure. Good for you for cleaning it... you're a caring owner :)

Move the cage from where you had it. I think it was a spider. But now that the area is clean and (noting that you should move it) ... moved. I think you're good.
