What is the minimum number of hours a hamster should be out of its cage2007-11-24 22:17:36
Hi everyone. I play with my hamster a lot each day, usually at least 2 hours and 30 minutes at least. Now that school's started, I'm way busier- practicing piano, trumpet, homework, etc... and I was wondering what the minimum is. Regardless, I'll still play with him a lot, I just wanted to know if I was playing with him enough. Thanks to everyone. Also, please see my other 3 questions.
Answers:Since school is starting and you wont have as much time play with him for at least 30 minutes a day. If you have a hamster ball let him run around the room will you do your homework. He probably will like that just as much
Any amount of time! Over an hour is pretty good, that way your Hamster can have fun and so can you! Also your Hamster can get some exercise too.

An hour a day is good, more is great. Also you can put him in a run-around-ball so he can run around the house. That's fun for them.
