What kind of bedding do you use2007-11-24 22:17:11

What kind of bedding does your hamster like? Simple or complex, Plain Paper or Carefresh or Aspen, store-bought or homemade? I was just wondering? Cuz Scooter likes the Carefresh. But loves Plain Paper Towels or Toilet Paper for his nest. I love to see him roll it up like a little joint and stuff it in his checks. I'm thinking on putting more Paper in the cage. Tell me what you think or just what your Hammie likes.

Our mice always prefered Carefresh bedding. It is economical, soft for the critter, they seem to enjoy burrowing in it and its easy to clean up. They also LOVED empty toilet paper rolls! Forget toys! Empty toilet paper rolls are like GOLD!

we always bought the store bought stuff that smelled good. I would give them a small ball of yarn and they would tear it up and cuddle in it.

store bought bedding from petco. blue or white. they love making wholes in it!

I use corncob and carefresh. My guinea pigs like corncob the best because it doesn't get matted in their fur and feet.

Aspen with a layer of carefresh over it. then give them pieces of old t-shirt to make a nest :)
