It really depends on the individual. My rat loved grapes, carrots, watermelon, cantelope, berries, banana, apples, lettuce, and pretty much any fruit or vegetable that I gave him. Every night, I would save little bites of food from my dinner plate for my rat--a taste of bread, a taste of salad with no dressing, a cooked noodle with no sauce, plain rice, whatever I thought he might like.
Root vegetables and Nuts
a bit of saltine crackers.
apples
bananas
nuts every once in a while
some whole grain bread
carrots
Just a few foods that you can treat your baby with as a treat.
mine love apricot, watermelon, celery, carrots and broccoli.
My ratties love cherry tomatoes!
Also. . .
carrots
apples
strawberries
bananas
and popcorn!
Along with the usual small animal treats.
my rats LOVE when i give them watermelon. it makes my rats hoop around, and get all hi-per. it is really funny.
It depends on their preferences. I have 4 rats, and some prefer different foods from others. I have one female rat that prefers sweet foods.
Good fruits and veggies: Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, banana, blueberries, pineapple, tomato, strawberries, beets.
