A normal would be perfect for you. I know it! This is why..:

Long Hair, and alll of the rest are not so easy to take care of. Like the normal one, you give it a bath once a month. The long haired makes you take almost an hour to wash it. It takes way to long.

Also, the normal one eats slowly so you don't have to keep on feed ing it and giving it water all of the time. More like 3 times a day.

If you go to a good breeder, they will tell you more information so you can learn more. I hope I helped.

I suggest getting a 鈥渘ormal鈥?Guinea Pig.

The ones advertised as 鈥渄warf鈥?and 鈥渘aked鈥?Guinea Pigs are the result of genetic mutations and will have a host of problems later in life (many do not live long). The 鈥渘ormal鈥?Guinea Pigs come in many varieties. I have owned Guinea Pigs with both short and long hair and prefer the short, sleek coats myself. Buy from a breeder, not a pet store, if you can help it. If you don鈥檛 know of any breeders in your area call your County Extension Office and ask if there is a local 4-H club that shows cavies, as the club will know the best place to get healthy Guinea Pigs.

Long-haired guinea pigs are a big responsibility. u have to brush them A LOT, and they can still get tangled. Short hairs shed more, but are easier to care for. I have a mix, (I think so anyway,) since her hair is longer than a short-haired but not growing out. I would recommend a mix. I found mine at Petsmart. :D hope I helped!
