I want to get a hamster that impresses my parents so they can let me have one

I'm not sure what you mean by impress, but just bring them to the pet store, show them what you want, and tell them how little care they need. I don't know how old you are, but they're totally a pet that a younger person can care for. Just do some research first so you know what you're getting yourself into and show that research to your parents so THEY know that YOU know what you're getting yourself into. :-)

It really depends on what you want in a hamster. Dwarf and Roborovski hamsters are cuter and a lot of fun to watch, but more difficult to handle than larger Syrian hamsters. If you want a pet that is more likely to enjoy being handled and bond with you, go with a Syrian. For the record, teddy bear, golden, and black bear hamsters are all Syrians, just with fancy names that refer to their appearance.

umm yeah i would say a teddy bear, dwarf or a panda bear ham ham would be good. to impress your parents show them how much you know about what you are getting . hamsters arent the nicest thing the world either so i would and check the hmasters eyes, weight, tail and such while picking one out from a pet store or a breeder. i would consider getting a rat and if you dont like the tail ( most dont) get a tailess one.
