I had 4 dwarf hamsters but one died on July 3,2007

.I give the dwarfs hamsters avocado, banana, apple, lettuce,plain roasted or raw peanuts, pecans or walnuts make great treats, they love to nibble on some greens from time to time (but this can cause loose bm's, so watch the amount)

Most dwarf hamsters can become diabetic, so don't give them any cereal with any sucrose or corn syrup in it. They love flax seeds as much as avacado and pecans, so if you don't have flax seeds but no of Uncle Sam's cereal that is a favorite of our hamsters.

Once my hamster attacked and ate a June bug beatyle, so I know they eat bugs, especially in their cage. But be aware that some bugs have parasites that they can pass on to the little dwarf hamsters.
