What kind of pet would be the best for me and why2007-11-24 22:17:44

Your maybe-future-guinea pig would need:

-Sippy cup/water bottle and food bowl

-Fresh fruits/veggies

-High quality pellets

-Fresh hay (For pellets and hay check oxbowhay.com)

-A good sized cage (check cavycages.com)

-Toys/Chewsticks

-Bedding (no cedar or pine!)

-Excercise (DON'T get one of those big rodent exercise balls, they're harmful to your cavy)

-Love ^^

how should i know!??!?!?!?!?!?! if you want a guinea pig, get a guinea pig!! really that little biography didn't help alot, it just sounds like you like animals alot, and most ppl get dogs BECAUSE they want to exercise!!

I have had hamsters, dogs, cats, mice, gerbils, a guinea pig, a house-rabbit,birds and 3 ferrets. Now I have 5 rats.

Dogs are great but they cost a lot, with shots and liscence and dog house and all.

Cats are wonderful pets, but there are occasionly cats that are not too bright. Overall they are smart, but there are the shots and bringing up hairballs.

Hamsters bite too much, gerbils are awake all night in their wheels, the mice smelled bad, the house rabbit was so cute, but he shed hair and left poo-pellets all over.

The guinea pig was my daughters. It was cute when it squealed and whistled, but a lot of cage cleaning, special diet, (they need vitamin C just like people. their health may be fragle too. Ours didn't live very long.
