What kind of pet would be the best for me and why2007-11-24 22:17:44

Ferrets are fun and full of energy. They are more work by far than a rat. They should always be in same sex pairs.

If you get a pair of rats you wont be sorry!

The rats are a perfect pet for me, and I like some of the same things as you.

Why the rat is such a great pet.

1. They love to be around you and want your attention. I heard a quote "to the world you are one person, to a rat you are the world."

2. They are as smart as a three year old. They know their names, and the names of the other rats. When I said the name of one of them, the others looked at that one.

3. They are very clean and wash themselves more that a cat does. They always wash hands and face after eating.

4. They smell good. The girls smell like grape soda, the boys are more like a corn chip.

5. They really love you and will ride on your shoulder, sleep in your sleeve, and it's been discovered that they laugh when tickled. It's pitch is too high for our ears to hear.

6. you have to clean their cage, but it's not anywhere near as smelly as a cat litter box.
