What kind of toys are guinea pigs most entertained with2007-11-24 22:17:46

I bought my guinea pig a hard plastic ball (about softball sized) with a smaller ball inside that contains a bell, but she pretty much ignores it. What do you think a guinea pig would rather play with? I want to give her something to entertain her, since her cage mate passed away recently. Thanks.

I make as many things out of cardboard as possible, tunnels and huts and suck from boxes that arenot filthy of course, in addition to the wodden huts and pigloos from the stores.

Also, paper plates to chew on and walk over, big flat pieces of cardboard to walk on, bend and make tunnels with, -

take a towel or some type of cloth, and take 2 corners and tie them to 2 corners of the cage for a towel tent, so cozy.

Mine all love tunnels the best-crumpled newspaper, plain white paper balls to shred, white tissue paper-crumpled or draped over part of another toy. Lots and lots of timothy hay, oat hay, brome hay, or orchard grass, also in piles or stuffed in t paper rolls.

lol I remember all the piggies used to love the little igloo houses that we had lol they used to pile inside of them and run on top of them. They also likes to shread paper towel rolls. See if you can find a piggy house made of wood that they can chew on and hide in. Also try getting another piggy. The best cure for loneliness is a friend.

first of all u could go to the local shelter and see if there are any guinea pigs that u could adopt if u want another (im sure ur piggy does). she will love brown luch bags with the front edges folded back for stability, boxes with holes cut in them and toilet paper rolls stuffed with hay. u could even try pvc piping but all of the other suggestions are free. good luck i hope ur piggy feels better!

My guineas were always very lazy and didn't really want much to do with any toy I offered them.sometimes they did like to flip over their little igloo or "wood cabin" thing and run in and out of them.
