What kind of toys are guinea pigs most entertained with
Hard chewies are a good idea though, it's fun for the animal and also helps keep their teeth a decent length.
Cardboard toilet paper rolls stuffed with hay are a fav toy here. 12 pack coke carton boxes that make a tunnel are good too
Firstly the best thing is another companion, preferably a same sex, same age piggy but it doesn't really matter. But because your parents are against this then the next best thing is you. You need to hold her each day, in a quite room, talking to her soothingly. Floor time should also be done each day, for about 1 hour in a piggy safe room. The bigger the room the better, if you can not do it in a room why don't you look into a play pen? I brought mine from a baby store, the one I got had sections, so if I brought extra sections I could make it bigger.
Toys are the next best thing, they can be brought or made, make sure to avoid guinea pig wheels or harnesses as they have the tendency to hurt their spine as their spine can not bend into a "u" that the wheels make them turn into. Some simple ideas include:
1. Wooden blocks from the pet store
2. Untreated branches or twigs
3. Plain cardboard boxes, cut a hole in one side to make an igloo type thing
4. Toilet rolls stuffed with hay and parsley (or other vegetable)
5. An old sock with a tennis ball at the toe, stuff the rest with hay
In the sources box I have included 2 links. The first one is about floor time and the second one has heaps of toy ideas.
