What kinds of fruits and veggies do u feed ur guinea pigs2007-11-24 22:17:47

lettuce (not Iceberg)

Carrots

Orange Slices

and sometimes

Apple Slices

I know, I don't give my guinea pig a lot, but, this is usually what we have in our refrigerator. Here is what to avoid feeding a guinea pig:

Iceberg Lettuce

Chocolate

Sweets

Sorry, this is a small list, but, I know not to feed your guinea pigs those things! I hope that this answers your question! Thanks!

I feed my piggy:

romaine lettuce

apples

grapes (very rarely- health risk)

melons (very rarely- health risk)

cucumber

carrots (baby and normal)

radishes (very rarely- health risk)

SMALL pieces of celery

Your piggy NEEDS vitamin C! If you can not provide it, he will get a terrible disease called "scurvy"! Also, don't feed him TOO much vegetables and fruits, as it will cause diarhea.

Vegetables and fruits to AVOID:

potatoes

LARGE pieces of celery

TIP:

When feeding your guinea pig grapes, cut them in HALF, as this makes them easier to chew.

they love danilions and tomatoes and apples and grass and things like that oh yes and give them banana skins and small bits of toast (its good for them) i asked my vet xx

Our guinea pigs love to eat kale, collard greens, romaine lettuce, bell peppers, unpitted cherries, a carrot ( not too many because they're super sugary ), and tomatoes.
