What kinds of fruits and veggies do u feed ur guinea pigs2007-11-24 22:17:47

One to two Cherry tomatoes per pig a day is O.K.

Summer and winter squashes can be given a couple of times a week.

Kale should be used sparingly as it is very high in Calcium and A.

Same with Collard greens and spinach, and these are also high in oxalates, so it's best to just avoid these.

Stay away from Potatoes, beet greens, Radishes, Bananas (constipating), and Raisins.

They should have access to Timothy hay (no alfalfa) at all times, and should have a good guinea pig pellet in their diet, as well.

A couple of answers said it was O.K. to feed guinea pigs crackers and toast ~ PLEASE DO NOT FEED THEM THESE THINGS! Their digestive systems are not made for these! No Flour or grain products! Nothing cerealy or with seeds.

well, the list would be REALLY long if i told you what i do feed my guinea pig, because i feed him just about every kind of fruit and vegitable that he will eat.. iceburg lettuce is the only thing that is really harmful to guinea pigs, also anything with pesticide. Go ahead and spoil your guinea pigs with lots of fruits and veggies, and they'll love you tons :p

well i have 5 guinea pig and run a rescue.

we feed our guinea pigs these daily

1 carrot per pig

1 whole piece of celery per pig (they LOVE it)

half of an apple per pig (red or yellow) green has too much acid

half of an orange per pig
