What kinds of fruits and veggies do u feed ur guinea pigs2007-11-24 22:17:47

Fruits include:

Apple, grapes

I vary it each day as too much carrot is bad because of calcium levels (we do not want bladder stones), too much cucumber causes diarrhea, too much celery causes diarrhea etc.

I do not feed them potatoes, onions, ice-berg lettuce, dairy or meat products (like those yoghurt drops), bulb type products. I take out the seeds of all of the food stuffs (capsicum, apple).

My two piggies love apple slices, carrots, romaine lettuce, melon rinds, green peppers, celery (especially the leafy part), kale, spinach, and cucumbers. They don't really like bananas or grapes. I've heard that guinea pigs are not supposed to eat iceberg lettuce, but my pigs have eaten it before with no real problem.
