I dare say I should not say this too loud because there are over 80 pairs of ears, from rats in a variety of coat-types, colors, markings, ear-sets, and degrees of cuteness, listening in.......

.......But just between you and me, a Blue Rex Dumbo baby just melts my heart.

I like them all. They're such wonderful animals!! We've owned 3 so far and they've been great. We've never been bitten by one either, but I've been bitten by every hamster and a few gerbils I'd owned previously.

They're very smart too. The ones we had were just plain old fancy rats. We had 2 females and one male (at different times). The male had a bit of a smelly funk to him that the females didn't, I'm guessing because he was male and males tend to smell more. Females can be aggressive toward other rats if they aren't raised together.

There are tons of rats on www.petfinder.com at adoption agencies, even baby rats!! They're soooooooo cute!

well right now i only have standard hooded rats, one black one beige, and i also have a berkshire(?) dumbo rex and i'm hopefully going to get more dumbo rats soon, i just love how they look so babyish sometimes!

I LOVE dumbos. I just love their silly round ears. They're so adorable.

As for color, my favorite is the pain ol' red eyed white. I think I'm the minority in that. For sex, I'm partial to the boys. Age wise, I'm a softy for the old guys(never met on that was nasty even tough they were older).

I like the ones who have a sweet nature and love any attention that I give them. I really like the kind that loves to be handled and comes running excited when I call them. :-)

They are all cute, but I have a dumbo Harley who always looks like he has a bad hair day, and a baby face. He's really cute! He's supposed to be black capped, but is more of a dark gray.

I would love to have a husky, roan, blazed or a masked.

Black eyed whites are pretty and I saw a ruby eyed blue. That was an interesting combo.

Colouring wise? Silver hooded, I think are one of the prettiest.

But really, all rats are adorable, no matter what colour or earset they have. My ratty being the best, of course! ;)
