What makes hedgehogs the most happyest2007-11-24 22:17:48

I would like to know what i could do to make my hedgehog really happy and playful?

not sure how u can make one happy other then really giving it a home like where they come from, but other then that socialise him hands on contact all the time ..but be care ful they can produce a toxic spit when they feel dangered intrduce him to new things slowly..and if you got an adult from a pet store who might have been poked at many times to see them ball up you might have a problem getting him use to you just take it slow, i lucked out got a baby who was not tormented at the pet store but i saw the adults were more scared and not so easily handled lol

mealworms and madagascar hissing cockroaches.They go crazy over those treats.

They sell special wheels for hedgies...I think on ebay. Yeah, there's one on there now for $28.99. They're plastic and they're solid. My hedgies used to love it!
